Jovyia Assisted Living Facility Visitation Policy

In accordance with Florida law SB988, the following policy outlines the guidelines for visitation
at our assisted living facility.
1. Purpose: The purpose of this policy is to ensure that residents have the right to receive
visitors, while also considering the health and safety of all residents.
2. Visitation Hours: Visitation is allowed daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, unless otherwise
restricted due to a public health emergency or facility-wide quarantine.
3. Health Screening: All visitors must undergo a health screening upon arrival, which will
include a temperature check and a questionnaire regarding their exposure to COVID-19
or other infectious diseases. Visitors who display symptoms or have been exposed will
not be allowed to enter the facility.
4. Protective Measures: Visitors are required to wear a face mask at all times while inside
the facility, and to follow social distancing guidelines. The facility will also provide hand
sanitizer for visitors to use before and after their visit.
5. Special Accommodations: Residents who require additional assistance or have special
needs may have a caregiver or support person accompany them during visits.
6. Visitors with Disabilities: Visitors with disabilities will be provided with reasonable
accommodations to ensure their visit is accessible.
7. Emergency Visitation: In the event of a medical emergency, the facility may allow
additional visitors as needed.
8. Violations: Visitors who violate this policy, including failing to wear a mask or
disregarding social distancing guidelines, may be asked to leave the facility.
9. Facility Manager Responsibility: The manager of Jovyia Assisted Living Facility, Daisy
Joseph, will be responsible in ensure that all staff adhere to this visitation policy
